We love joining forces with others and collaborating to make things happen. It’s part of our ethos and at the heart of making the real change that is so desperately needed as we address the climate crisis.
Whether with clients, suppliers, or colleagues, forging alliances with others is powerful and effective way to deliver extensive and impressive results.
Our latest collaboration is with Conservation Without Borders, the charity behind the Flight of the Osprey expedition which will take place from August to December in 2020. The aim is to investigate the issues Ospreys face, including habitat loss, ocean plastic pollution, persecution and lack of food source, and what we can all do to help this bird make a comeback.
Led by Sacha Dench, also known as the Human Swan, our collaboration formed on World Environment Day on 5 June 2019 when she spoke at our rewilding conference about her Flight of the Swans expedition, which gained her global recognition for her work as well as an Aviation Award AND a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
She highlighted the decreasing number of swans and how she engaged with communities along her journey to understand the risks these birds face. We were particularly impressed that she cycled to the conference in Gateshead all the way from Devon over the course of six days to minimise her carbon footprint!
And now Sacha is preparing to fly the osprey migration route – circa 10,000 km from Scotland to West Africa crossing 15 countries and we’ve offered our support and are part of the Fundraising and Marketing Team.
We are planning
New Year 2020 Roadshows and events across the North East of England, Cumbria and Scotland to raise awareness of the expedition and recruit sponsors and supporters.
Sponsorships campaign to continue gathering sponsors. There are so many ways to be involved in this project from high-profile corporate sponsors to supporter donations and some great choices available of how to help the Ospreys.
If you’d like to host a talk as part of the roadshow please get in touch.
What are you doing to make a difference?
The decade of change is coming so let’s work together! Sponsorship is a fantastic way to support Climate Action North’s work while achieving your own CSR commitments. We hold major events, including conferences and educational workshops that senior level, influential audiences attend, and our action-oriented initiatives projects all bring about real and lasting change.
Speak to us if you think there is shared synergy in our purposes that means we should look to team up.
The time for talking is over. Today we need to act.
