Get on the road to net zero with the Business Action Toolkit

The Business Action Toolkit assists organisations to identify risks relevant to small businesses and build resilience to safeguard its future.

It will also help businesses begin to take meaningful climate action to get on the road to net zero.

The Business Action Toolkit will help to:

  • Make simple changes that will differentiate businesses from their competition, attract new customers and investment.

  • Protect the bottom line, reduce costs, and save money.

  • Operate as usual in face of potential disruption, climate-related damage, and closures.

  • Ensure businesses have the correct insurances to safeguard against exposure to climate-related risks.

  • Provide third party audit evidence for quality and environment systems such as ISO 14001 and so on.

  • Put in place a coherent and pragmatic business resilience plan specific to each business.

  • Transition to a green future and start a business net zero journey.

  • Access further guidance, information, resources, and support.

  • Take further action such as training or applying for ISO standards.

What it covers:

  1. Business risk and continuity

  2. People and resources

  3. Green infrastructure and spaces

  4. Travel and carbon foot printing

  5. Climate emergency planning

  6. Quality and environmental management systems

  7. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

How it works:

  • Go to https://s.surveyanyplace.com/climate-action-bat and register with a contact email address.

  • Answer the questions within the categories detailed above. This will take around 45 minutes.

  • Pay the fee once all questions are complete. As a non-profit, all funds are reinvested into Climate Action North projects.

  • A bespoke report will be emailed.

  • The report highlights practical actions and solutions tailored to the business.

  • The report also signposts to further support, information, and training available within Climate Action North and its associated network.

  • The report can be used to put in place a practical action plan to reach net zero.

To get started, access the toolkit here.

The time for talking is over, today we need to act.
