Georgina Fuller has joined Climate Action North as an ocean expert associate, bringing years of hydrography experience and a lifelong love of the sea. A wild swimmer who has swum in every sea she’s worked in, she channels her knowledge and energy to inspire people across the North of England to understand and protect the ocean.

Pupils in Gateshead have been making waves in the classroom thanks to Ocean Wilders, an interactive education project delivered as part of the Climate Action North Global Wilders® Awards programme.

A one-day conference, organised by community interest company Climate Action North, is turning the tide on taking ocean action by inspiring people on the extensive work taking place to restore and conserve the seas and oceans.

A one-day Ocean Action Conference will take place on Seaburn seafront in Sunderland on 8 June 2023.

Highlighting ocean action happening across the UK, the conference will feature experts, ocean practitioners, and marine biologists speaking about the challenges faced in rewilding the seas.
