Young Rewilders Networking Group (YOUNG)
The Young Rewilders Networking Group (YOUNG) is empowering young people aged between 18 to 30 across the North of England to take the lead in restoring nature and transforming communities.
With hands-on projects, participants restore habitats, plant native species, create pollinator-friendly gardens, and run community rewilding events. It gives young people the skills, confidence, and experience to explore green careers while making a real impact locally.
YOUNG is run by a youth steering committee, giving young people the freedom to plan and shape projects that meet community needs. Mentors support participants to build leadership and practical skills, helping turn ideas into action.
The programme is open, flexible, and inclusive. Young people from all backgrounds can get involved and make a difference.
Funding from the National Lottery’s Awards for All England – Environment supports YOUNG to deliver these projects and expand opportunities across the region.
