Climate Action North has announced new dates for its Rewilding Roadshow, designed to inspire and empower communities across the North of England to take action for nature right where they live. These stops are part of the ongoing effort to grow the North East Rewilding Network and support community-led rewilding initiatives.

Climate Action North is taking the North East Rewilding Network (NERN) on tour, thanks to fresh funding from Rewilding Britain.  This new support will help the network grow as it enters its second year, bringing rewilding inspiration directly to communities across the region. 

Climate Action North works year-round to protect the environment, connect communities, and restore nature through rewilding. Every June, it ramps up efforts with Green June, a month packed with events and activities to inspire and inform people on ways to take climate action. For 2025, it’s returning with a supercharged line-up of events, building on the success of previous years and inspiring even more people to get involved.

March 20th 2025 is World Rewilding Day and this year’s theme, Rewilding Together, celebrates the growing movement for nature’s recovery.

Two Sunderland-based social enterprises, Climate Action North and Reinvented with Friends, are working together to inspire the next generation of eco-entrepreneurs and tackle environmental challenges in the city.

A two-day online conference to share hopeful rewilding stories marked this year’s World Environment Day and World Oceans Day.

A festival of sustainability will take place in Sunderland in October.

A one-day conference, organised by community interest company Climate Action North, is turning the tide on taking ocean action by inspiring people on the extensive work taking place to restore and conserve the seas and oceans.

A one-day Ocean Action Conference will take place on Seaburn seafront in Sunderland on 8 June 2023.

Highlighting ocean action happening across the UK, the conference will feature experts, ocean practitioners, and marine biologists speaking about the challenges faced in rewilding the seas.
